Noorulain Masood leads the Research to Action programme at the Collective, an initiative committed to using research to influence policy making and political action. Prior to joining the Collective, she led Teach For Pakistan, a leadership development programme for young leaders in education, and a partner of the Teach For All network.
As the CEO of Teach For Pakistan, she set up the organizational strategy, managed over 60 people, and raised support and funds for the organization. Prior to that she assisted in managing a 20 Million USD multi-donor trust fund at the World Bank Headquarters. The trust fund aimed to encourage Poverty and Social Impact analyses of World Bank programmes.
Over the years, she has been involved in leadership building and community organizing trainings, primarily with the Leading Change Network. She was a Teaching Fellow in 2013 and 2015 for the Harvard Executive Education’s course on “Leadership, Organizing and Action: Leading Change”.
Noor has spoken at the World Education Summit in Berlin, and presented at World Bank trainings, and Teach For All international conferences. Her work has been featured in national dailies such as Dawn and The News, and international publications such as Der Taggesspiegel.
She started her career as a Research Assistant at the Collective for Social Science research, investigating rural poverty, social exclusion and education.
Noor is a graduate of the Masters in Public Administration/International Development at the Harvard Kennedy School, where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar. She is in the founding curatorial team for Women of the World festival, Karachi.
