Sohail has been working with the 'Collective for Social Science Research' since 2003. He has also been working as Staff Economist in the 'Applied Economics Research Centre' (AERC) since 1996. From 1989 to 1996, he was a Project Assistant in AERC. He has also worked as a Consultant with 'Pakistan Labor Education and Research'. (PILER).
