Updating Living Wage Benchmarks

(April 2018 - January 2019)

The Collective has been engaged by the Global Living Wage Coalition and Martha and Richard Anker to develop a methodology and guidance for updating living wage benchmarks. The GLWC has worked with its partners to develop living wage benchmarks for 20-plus countries and there are several more studies underway. It is important to update living wage benchmarks periodically so that they retain their purchasing power. Once developed, this methodology will also be pilot tested in the following five countries: Brazil, India, Pakistan, Mexico, and South Africa.
