The Asia Foundation commissioned a series of background papers on the economic situation, poverty trends, institutional challenges to the state, and the politics of demilitarization in Pakistan, as part of "Drivers of Change Update" jointly sponsored by DFID(UK), the European Union, and the Netherlands Embassy.
